Church Egg Hunt
This afternoon was our annual Egg Hunt at church. This year it wasn't raining! Pierce and James had so much fun riding the train. I think we rode it at least three times. Chugga-Chugga Choo Choo!
Finding eggs in what looks like a dirt pit here. Ha!

Pierce and Maggie!

Happy Easter, Y'all!
Lions, Tigers and Monkeys
Yesterday, it was such a nice day so Pierce and I headed to the zoo! We saw lots of animals...lions, tigers and monkeys were some of our favorites.
Telling the monkeys, "bye-bye".
Carousel fun!
Several of the animals were napping when we saw them. Pierce said "nite-nite" and pretended like he was sleeping too.

We ended our day at the park. It was so nice to play outside all day!

Musical Beds???
Hop, Hop, Hop...
Pierce was so excited to see the Easter Bunny from a distance...he always says, "hop, hop, hop". We've been talking about seeing him and having his picture made, but he quickly decided he not want to do that! We did however, get a little close, but only to sneak a little of his candy!
He was happy to get his candy and get a few steps away. Can't really say that I blame him. That's a pretty big bunny!

Down on the Farm!
Pierce and I went down to the farm for several days last week to see Gigi and Poppa. On the way, we stopped in Luverne to wish Aunt Mallory a happy birthday!
We have been calling it the farm for years, although there really isn't a lot of farming going on. There are lots of wild animals, plenty of property to run around on, and play toys (4-wheeler, jeep, tractor, etc...).
Helping Gigi plant tomato plants.

Fun with Poppa on the 4-wheeler...
...and snuggling with him under a blanket to watch tv!
Helping Gigi make pancakes...yummy!!
A view of the pond....Pierce's first time fishing!

First fish!!!
It's huge!!! HA HA! Not at all, but he loved it! Pierce loved the crickets in the bucket more.

We had a fun few days on the farm, thanks Gigi and Poppa! We will have to come back soon!!

DORA!!!
This morning we met friends at McWane and saw Dora! In the past, Pierce has not liked his picture taken with characters...especially big fat Santa!! I was skeptical, especially since we had to stand in line for about 45 minutes, but he really liked it. We've been watching Dora a lot this last week and really talking her up.
He is waiting, next in line here, and saying "me sit". He was ready to go sit with her!
No big smiles, but no screaming or tears. He did give her a big high-five as we said goodbye!

Dora, Pierce thinks your a pretty special girl...otherwise, we would not have gone to McWane. It was a spring break madhouse!!

POCKETS!!
Yesterday, Pierce discovered the miracle of pockets in his pants! Who knew?! He thought they were fantastic and would walk around the house with his hands in his pockets and announce, "POCKETS!!!"
Two of Pierce's favorite college neighbors were home this weekend before they kicked off spring break. Josh and Jessica came over and we celebrated a late birthday with both of them. We love any excuse around here to eat sweets!!

What a Difference!
We spent the weekend in Luverne at Grandmomma and Granddaddy's. Since we had not been down since Christmas or seen them we were way overdue! While they are still living in a construction zone due to their renovations, it was a huge difference from Christmas. At Christmas there was literally no kitchen, only unfinished walls and floors. While they still have a lot to do, we enjoyed the new kitchen and can't wait to see everything finished!
Pierce is a lot of entertainment these days...he "played" and "sang" to us. He hit the keys very easily and said, "no" on pitch to each one. We think he was saying piano but it just came out "no" each time.
Pierce loves Madison and had lots of fun playing with her. She was so sweet and patient with him.
Soon to be, Uncle Foster...

Granddaddy also has a helper if they run out of money or workers!
And apparently, Pierce has been spending too much time with me in the bathroom while I'm getting ready. While I was packing us up to go, I found him playing in my makeup bag and he even decided to put some on his cheek like mommy!
