Just a different week...

We met friends again at the park today to play and have a picnic.  It's still really hot, but the kids had fun anyway!  We will have to go again next week since the forecast shows much cooler weather!

All the kids like playing at the playground, but I think the highlight today was the actual picnic on the ground, just chasing each other and playing with sidewalk chalk!

Grace did not mind one bit that she was the only girl in the group and wanted to play football too!

A birthday weekend

We helped Pierce's friend, Daniel, celebrate his 3rd birthday Saturday morning. It sure was a hot morning to be at the park, but the kids had fun at his Toy Story themed party. I think this is the most Pierce has ever been excited about a party, we even had to make out a calendar for him to mark the days off each morning. He is already asking to go to his party and his birthday is still several weeks away! Daniel, the birthday boy!

After the party, we dropped Pierce off with Gigi and Poppa while we headed down to Auburn for tailgating and the game!

Then on Sunday, we did a late celebration for my birthday with Gigi and Poppa since we didn't get to do it near my birthday.

This is the best little toy, a twist car. Pierce can do it all by himself and adults can even ride it. You just pull twist the handles from side to side and it powers it. I love how he is concentrating with his tongue stuck out!

Preschool Playdate & Picnic!

What a fun, but hot, playdate with had this morning! Our church has started a monthly preschool playdate for our young families and friends. This morning we met friends at Homewood park to play and have a picnic. The kids had a blast! Grant and Grace are so cute together!

Labor Day Fun!

On Labor Day, we took Pierce to ride the rides at the amusement park side at Alabama Adventure. As many times as we've been to the waterpark, we've never gone to the other side of the park. Pierce loved it! He was timid about the ones that he could ride by himself but then after one try he was ready for more.

War Eagle, Hey!

Pierce had a very exciting day on the plains yesterday with his daddy. He went to his first AU football game! I was told that overall he did ok and M said he would take him again so I call that a success! He was SO excited to tell me about the game this morning and everything he saw. Playing with cousins Andrew, Madelaine and Abby was an added bonus!

Pierce loves the Auburn cheer now and yelling, "War Eagle, hey!". Surprisingly, he made it with no nap all day and didn't crash until the 3rd quarter.
