My Fun Trip to Lowes!

We made a family trip to Lowes this morning to get some supplies to finish up the kitchen. When the greeter lady saw Pierce, she insisted that we take him to the kids class they were having to make a car. I took him over there while daddy shopped and we had the best time! He got to make a little wooden race car, he loved putting it together and was so proud. He even got a certificate, a work smock, and a patch for me to sew on from his project he completed. There is a monster truck class next month that we will have to do!
I guess on our next trip I'll have to start bringing my camera...I had no idea I would need it!

Off to Grandmomma and Granddaddy's we go....

We were back at Grandmomma and Granddaddy's house over the weekend. We have been going so much that Pierce realizes where we are going and gets really excited. He talked about it all day Friday and asked me a million times when we were going! The guys mainly hung out at the house while us ladies had showers and such...hence the few pictures. It was really hot and humid, but Pierce had fun getting sticky and dirty!
Playing with Aunt Melissa...

We also practiced on Sunday for his upcoming "ring bearer" job in a few weeks. He did really well, but we will see what happens when it is game time!

Pool Fun!

We had so much hanging out at the pool yesterday with friends! The weather was perfect and all of the kids were nice to each other, overall. The girls swam like little fish but the boys wanted no part of it. They were content hanging out on the stairs!Maury was being silly!
Olivia tried to talk Pierce into swimming with her...he just looked at her like she was crazy!
Cute little Olivia and Caroline...

These girls swam the entire time, we had to drag them out to eat lunch and go home. I'm sure these little fish took good naps!

Throw Your Hands in the Air...

...and wave 'em like ya just don't care! Isn't that how the song goes?

Pierce decided to throw his hands up and dance on the way home from church yesterday! At the end, he says "next"...he wants to know what is coming on that he can dance to next! We may be the only ones that find this funny, but it cracks us up...

Fun with Mommies and Time with Daddy!

Pierce got to spend a few days with just him and daddy while I was off playing at the beach with the girls. I'm not sure that he missed me much since he had two birthday parties. Pierce loves a party and any reason to have cake! I'm sure he had a great time helping Caroline and Ford celebrate their big days!
Us girls rarely get to see each other and had so much fun together! We are lucky to have sweet husbands to watch kids so we could have a little time away!

Oh, Mommy!

I had a great Mother's Day spending time with my guys! It was a relatively quiet day, but I am so very thankful for my blessings and to have this sweet boy in my life!
Pierce likes to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and loves to call me or get my attention by yelling, "Oh Mommy", just like calling "oh toodles" on the show. He thinks it is hilarious! I love to hear his sweet little voice!!

We also got to celebrate the day by meeting Gigi for dinner!

What a fun day...thank you Lord for our many blessings!!

My Little Gardener

We are late on getting things planted outside around here, but Pierce loves working in the yard! He helped me plant and water flowers. Then took it upon himself to pick up some sticks in the yard and pile them up. I think his Poppa taught him that last week!

What have we been doing?

Staying very, very busy!!! Between all of our illness, kitchen renovations and more wedding parties we have had a lot going on. Pierce spent several days with Gigi and Poppa last week while we worked on the kitchen. He's been spoiled a lot the last week or more seeing both sets of grandparents.

One of the parties over the weekend was a men's tool party in which Pierce and my dad were both invited. It's pretty rare for both grandfathers to be in the same place. Can you tell Pierce loves his Poppa? I wish I had a picture of them all together.Apparently, Pierce provided other entertainment while at the party....

And, a little glimpse of the kitchen...it is still a long way from being finished but we are closer than we were when we started! We now have new appliances, new countertops and backsplash, and partially painted cabinets. Maybe we will get it done soon so we can get our house back in order!
