Earning His Keep!

Apparently, Pierce decided that his mama needed some help around the house last week. Since it's an ordeal taking the trash out and lugging Pierce down the stairs, I had it ready to go. My plan was to take it out during naptime. I guess he thought he would be my little helper! Thanks for looking out for me buddy!!

A Trip to LA (Lower Alabama that is)!

Last week Pierce and I went to south Alabama to visit lots of friends and family. We had such a great time and the weather was wonderful (except for the rainy weekend). Pierce and I both missed his daddy, but he joined us over the weekend in Luverne.

We went to Dothan one day to visit my sweet friend, Jennie and her 3 boys. She's never seen Pierce and I had never met Baby David. It was so much fun to catch up with a friend I rarely see. Pierce DID NOT want his picture made with the brothers, we even tried giving out vanilla wafers...but he wasn't taking the bait!
Even sweet Baby David tried to console him!He did have fun with these glasses, he looked like the "mad professor".

Pierce LOVED being outside while we were at the farm with my parents. Especially, snack time!

Another sweet friend, Haley, stopped by with her boys on their way to the beach. Pierce was still in his pj's, but had a lot of fun playing with them.
Brooks celebrated his 1st birthday while we were in Luverne. He liked his cake, so did Pierce...he ate 2 pieces! Happy Birthday, Brooks!!
Here is Pierce with birthday boy Brooks and big sister, Ainsley.
We also got to play with precious little Jacob too! This is the first time that Pierce has been able to play with Jacob. I wish they lived closer so we could do it more often. They are only about 2 months apart. We are so proud of Jacob, he is doing great!
Pierce LOVED playing with his cousins, Max and Madison. We don't get to see them very often, but he thought they were lots of fun!

Grandmomma gave Pierce this chair over the weekend. It was his great grandfathers as a child. It is just his size!
Being silly with Uncle Mike!

Thanks again to Gigi, Poppa, Grandmomma and Granddaddy for letting us visit. It was great seeing you!

A lovely day on the Plains

All 3 of us went to Auburn yesterday to the AU/LSU basketball game. This was Pierce's first trip to Auburn which was pretty exciting for us. The weather was fantastic and we got there in enough time to walk around campus a little bit.

He even got to meet Aubie!
I don't know if Pierce liked Aubie better or the cow that was there from Chick-Fil-A. He wanted to grab both of their noses and give them a high-five!

Pierce's first trip to Auburn was exhausting! We met a friend at Niffer's for an early dinner. Those corn nuggets sure did make Pierce sleep good on the way home. What a fun day!

Snowy Sunday

This morning we woke up to the squealing of the little girls across the street playing in the snow. I forgot it might snow and thought, why are they outside so early?! What a beautiful sight it was . The best part of our morning was not playing in it, but our ride to church. On our way, there is a section of the road with a cliff on one side....the sight was amazing. We were in awe looking at God's creation!

Our house this morning, while we were at church some kids had a lot of fun in our front yard!

Pierce liked to touch the snow and thought it was funny, but he didn't care too much about getting down and playing in it.
