Earlier this month we had our spring performances for preschool choirs. This is an extra special night for me since I help teach the 2's, you never really know exactly what they will do on stage! They did great, so did Pierce's 4-year old class. He didn't sing quite as much as he should have, but it's always fun to watch them on stage.
After all of the performances, we visited his Mission Friends class to see what they had been learning all year. He had three very sweet teachers that always had something fun planned. Another perk were the special snacks they had for the kids!

Mother's Day
I had a great Mother's Day with my boys! My child is such a sweet blessing and I thank God daily for being his mom. He makes me laugh constantly, gives lots of hugs and kisses, and tells me multiple times a day how much he loves me. He really is a momma's boy and I love it!
I was lucky enough to get some quiet time that afternoon to watch tv and rest on the couch. In the process, Pierce was hard at work preparing me a "party". He had M help him paint this picture of our family, and Pierce cut out pieces of paper and taped all around the kitchen. He then led me in with my eyes covered to yell "SURPRISE!". M and I had to participate in a game to collect the most paper strips he had randomly taped around the kitchen. Since I won, he rewareded me with some special cookies they made for me.
All in all, it was a great, relaxing day! My favorite gifts were the special ones Pierce made for me at school, so sweet and priceless!! I know it won't be much longer and he won't be excited about all these special days, but for now, he sure does make me one happy and proud mama!!!

Bowling Birthday
We got to help buddy, Jones, celebrate his birthday bowling style last weekend! Jones is like Pierce since he has a holiday birthday as well, his is near July 4th. So, he decided to celebrate a little early before school got out with a lot of their 4K friends.
The kids almost completed an entire game, had lots of yummy cake, and enjoyed some arcade time. Jones is a fun friend that Pierce is going to miss next year while they are at different schools! Happy early Birthday, Jones! We had fun celebrating with you!!

Pops, Pizza & P.E.
For the last 4K field trip, the kids have always had a special trip to see a Baron's Baseball game with the dads. Well, this year they didn't get to do that (and I don't think that M was too happy about it!). I guess it's because they changed stadiums, not sure. Anyway, they had a special day at school with all the dads for "Pops, Pizza and P.E.". Pierce has loved the new P.E. class at school this year so Ms. Lori had lots of fun activities for the 4K kids and dads!
*This was the only photo I could get from the day, Pierce is on the back row, left side in an orange shirt.

A BIG Thank You...
.....goes to Grandmomma and Granddaddy!!! They came to visit us a while back and went to cheer on Pierce and his team at one of his early Saturday morning games. Then, the next weekend the kept Pierce for us while we went on a fun couples beach trip with friends! Also, thank you to Aunt Mallory for providing some entertainment while he was there. Pierce loved your ice cream date!!

Kindergarten Kick-off
We attended Kindergarten kick-off at Pierce's new school about a week and a half ago. He did great!! Upon our arrival, he quickly found his name tag on the table and went with the purple apple group. He did not seem worried about going at all, even though there were few kids that he knew. He has no big buddies there, other than one friend from his school now. The new kids were swept off by all the sweet Kindergarten teachers to their classrooms where they did some quick assessments on the kids. Luckily, I recently talked to a friend that has a child there and her aunt is actually a Kindergarten teacher so she made sure to put Pierce in her group! I was glad to know someone was looking out for him. :) The parents were left to listen to the faculty and staff about all of the new and exciting things they will be doing. I barely made it through with no tears, especially when the counselor got up and started crying!
We ended our morning with a full tour of the school, Pierce is still talking about all of the fun things he saw. You can't tell he's excited, huh?! I think he's counting down the days to get started!

Last 4K Field Trip
Recently, I got to go on the last 4k field trip of the year back to the Children's Theater with Pierce and his friends. I think we saw Rapunzel and the Rabbit (or something like that). As always, the kids loved it!
I'm always thankful for these short, indoor field trips! I can't believe there are only 2 weeks left now of 4K. Time has flown by way too fast!!!
