A King Sized Special Treat!

Pierce doesn't mind hair cuts at all...especially since Mrs. Nina always has special treats for him!  She either brings him a special treat from home, gives him money to pick something out of their vending machine, gives him an employee treat from the back (like when they are celebrating with a birthday cake), and this time she made a special stop at the store just for a King Size treat for him.  She spoils him for sure!  I guess one of the perks of being an only child!

High Country 5K

Not only did we help cheer on the runners along the course during the 5K, but Pierce participated in the kids Fun Run.  He loved it, especially after recently doing the Kids Mercedes.
He was super excited to get a ribbon after completion and to run into Mrs. Cole from school (the librarian).  Pierce was even more surprised when we went inside for breakfast and awards and ran into a whole table of SSC teachers and staff!

Extra Special Sleepover

On Carter's official birthday, all he wanted was to come spend the night at our house! No party (other than when we celebrated at the beach) just to hang with us. I think this was our first official spend the night guest, even though they have stayed together, just not at our house.

They decided to camp out on the floor in Pierce's room and, of course, were early risers!
One good thing about early risers, it's easier to head out the door to go help with the High Country 5K!
Can you tell we had doughnuts for breakfast?!

My "helpers" at our post for the race.  They loved cheering all the racers on!

Spring Break

Our sweet friends, The Coulson's, invited us to join them at the beach during Spring Break.  Mainly, because Carter wanted to use it as his birthday trip (since we took him on a trip with us when it was Pierce's birthday).  Nonetheless, we are always excited for a trip to the beach!

Our first day on the beach was a little chilly, the kids did not seem to mind though!

A little shuffleboard to entertain during Caroline's naptime.

We ended up having some really bad weather the first two days so we were very thankful for the indoor pool and especially when the dads arrived to play with them.

The dad's brought Maury's buddy, SEB, when they came down.  I can't imagine the look on her teacher's face when she told her the next week that she rode in the car with two men that weren't her daddy all the way to the beach.  Yikes!  So glad her teacher knows us all!!

Carter picked arcade time for his birthday celebration.  Everyone suited up to play!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARTER....BRRRRR!!!

Silly Fans

There was a lot of hype around here as the basketball playoffs approached for March Madness. Pierce filled out his bracket and was quick to keep up with if he was beating his daddy or not. One night, I told him to go get ready for bed so they could watch one of the games and this is what he looked like!
Apparently, the games were super exciting to watch because before long I found both of them just like this.
