Gigi's Card Outtakes
We tried to do pics for a Christmas card for Gigi & Poppa of all of the boys. It was quite an ordeal to get all of them dressed, Sullivan asleep, and the other two still enough to take a decent shot. It ended up being a bad location with the blinds in the back, but was too cold to take the baby outside. It definitely wasn't worth a re-shoot! Makes me appreciate moms with multiple children even more!!

Turkey Time in Texas!
We drove out to TX last week to spend time with my family and meet Sullivan. While the drive was a long one (13 hours one way) it was still much better than flying with Pierce by myself like I did a few months ago! It was actually a fun roadtrip and Pierce did really well overall...much better than I expected. I don't plan on doing it again any time soon, but now we know we can do it.
Pierce had so much fun playing with his cousin, Chapman. It was "monkey see, monkey do"! Chapman has lots of fun toys outside so they spent a lot of time outside...particularly on the gator. It started out with Chapman driving Pierce around, then Pierce got brave one day, jumped in the driver seat and took off by himself!
The boys got super excited about making these pilgrim hat cookies. Chapman LOVED it and was so proud of them!

This is a fuzzy pic but was on the way home late at night in the car. We took this with our phone since the camera was packed up. This is how Pierce was sleeping!
Thanks for letting us visit guys! We miss you already and can't wait to see you again!!

Sweet Sullivan
We were so excited to meet the newest member of our family last week....Sullivan Bentley! He's 2 weeks old here and is so sweet and precious! I took some pics of him and his big brother while we visited. Pierce was so funny around him, he wanted to look at him all the time and check on him if he cried or made a noise. We can't wait to see you again soon, Sullivan! You are so far away though...I hope you aren't crawling when we see you again!!

Happy Birthday, Henry!

Photos by Nolen Photography
Below is the link to Pierce's 2 year photo shoot with Erin. She always does such a great job of trying to capture some good shots, even when your little subject will not be still! The little chair that he we used was his great grandfather's and the one that he is named after.

Happy Birthday, Poppa!
We spent this weekend with Grandmomma & Granddaddy in Luverne, while M was helping his dad work, Pierce and I got out of the house. We visited with Ainsley and Brooks for a while so the kids could play. They had lots of fun together! We also met Poppa for lunch since it was his birthday. Happy Birthday, Poppa! We had fun eating lunch with you!

2 Year Check-up
Yesterday was Pierce's two year check-up. Dr. Hardwick said he looked great! Below are his stats (I know many of you don't care about these, but I'm also using this blog as a scrapbook). Still a pretty lean boy and getting tall, although I would have thought a higher percentile in height the way he has been outgrowing clothes....and a big ole noggin'! Dr. Hardwick says it's all those brains...I hope he's right! Pierce even stood on the scale like a big boy, I think because there was an elmo sticker on it. Hey, bribery works for me! We had to wait a really long time in the exam room so Pierce decided to put on a show and "jump". He would not have been so excited if he had known 2 shot were coming his way!

Birthday Snack with School Friends
And the winner is....
If you ever wondered what a prize winning pumpkin looked like, this apparently is it!

A few weeks ago the Hoover Public Library had a workshop where the kids could come paint pumpkins and then they were displayed throughout the children's areas. It was a really cold weekend so we met a friend there for a fun project inside! I think Pierce put two strokes on with the paint and covered the rest with stickers. I got a call last week that he was the preschool winner! He won this basket filled with tons of halloween books, stickers, stuffed animals and other goodies...including a medal!

Trick or Treat!
Pierce had a big day on Saturday! After a very short nap, and playing with all his new trains and toys from his party, we met up with some friends for some Halloween night fun. Complete with lots of activities for the kids (painting pumpkins, making caramel apples and decorating pumpkin shaped rice krispy treats). We had appetizers and pizza for dinner, the kids dressed up in their costumes, we all went on a hay ride, and trick or treated! Pierce caught onto the whole trick or treating thing pretty fast and practically ran from house to house. It was a really fun night and great way to end his birthday! I hope we can make it an annual event!!

Party Time!
On Saturday morning, lots of friends and some family helped Pierce celebrate at the FLC. The kids had lots of fun in the bouncer, crawling through the tunnel, playing with balls and riding on trikes. Surprisingly, to have 7 of the kids under the age of three there were very few tears. Thanks to all of our friends and family that were able to come and help make Pierce's day so special. I think he had a great time at his party!
Enjoying cupcakes and ice cream...yummy!

Opening presents!

Fun times with friends!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Pierce!

Sweet or Sour?
On Friday, Pierce came home with this bag from school. They had decorated it and his teacher had filled it with some candy. After naptime, I gave it to him and told him Ms. Cindy left a surprise inside. He only picked out the chocolate candy, none of the sour candy. Over the Halloween weekend, it become even more apparent that he just likes the chocolate sweets. One more thing just like his daddy!
