Girls Trip & Special Boys Time!

Last weekend was my annual girls beach trip with friends from college. We look forward to this every year, especially since we rarely see each other. We are lucky if we all get together twice a year. It's crazy that we have now been friends for 17 years!! We are very thankful to our families for time to relax, laugh, and soak in the sun!
Pierce loves "boys time" with daddy! In celebration of mommy being gone they did lots of fun things, like join Henry and his parents at a Barons game!
Then, the next day they headed to Luverne to visit with Grandmomma and Granddaddy!  I joined them the last night on my way back from the beach.  Pierce really loves hanging out with cousins Max and Madison too.  We had game night, Pierce joined us and answered 3 questions correctly!  It was a fun game called "Beat the Parents", Mallory and I were the parents.  Ha!

Life on the farm is fun for Pierce, it's such a fun place for boys!  And, he loves that granddaddy does whatever he asks him to do!  :)

3K Water Party!

On Pierce's last official day of school they had a 3K Water Party! We had a great year, with wonderful teachers and friends. It is truly a blessing, espcially when your child is always excited about school and never wants to stay home!
I found this picture of "the crew" playing in the water! Pierce can't wait to start 4k and see all of his friends!

Soccer Party!

Since soccer season came to end, we celebrated with a pizza party! These kids have LOVED playing together and we have truly loved the games this year. We had a great group of parents and kids which made each game fun and exciting. Thankfully, they will all be in school together again next year!

Can you tell they were overly excited about this?!?!  What's better than pizza, cookies, time with friends, and a trophy???
Way to go, Team Cobia!!!  We may need some family playdates/cookouts to hang out this summer!

M-O-M-M-Y!

Since the Muffins for Mom celebration at Pierce's school he has been all about singing the MOMMY song in anticipation of Mother's Day! As soon as Sunday morning arrived, he woke up, ran to me, gave me a big hug and said, "Happy Mother's Day! You're the best mommy in the whole world!!"
As if my early morning greeting wasn't sweet enough, my boys treated me to a yuummy lunch at J. Alexander's, a gift Pierce picked out, fun cards, and made me some sprinkle cookies that afternoon!

It was so nice not to do a thing around the house all day.  Pierce even tried to unload the washer by himself and had already taken the clean ones out of the dryer!  I love being treated like a queen, it tops it off being the mommy to this sweet boy!!

Last Game!

We have had a great first soccer season, Pierce has loved playing and truly got excited about every game. Friday was the last game of the season. He's going to miss not seeing his team each week, but luckily they all go to school together so he will get to see them a few more times before the end of the year! On the last game, we also played the team that his friend, Kate, is on which made it even more exciting!

Also, a big thank you goes to Gigi for coming to a game this year.  Buddies, Maggie and Joey, were also going to come but that game got rained out.  Boo!  I hate we don't have more family close that could see him in action!

I would dare say that one of the most exciting parts of each game was snack time at the end!  The kids got so excited to see who was bringing something to that game.  Jones finished the season up with a super special snack with Krispy Kreme, he's my kind of kid!!!

Muffins for Mom

Last week, the 3K classes at Pierce's school had Muffins for Mom in honor of Mother's Day. It was such a special morning to spend with my favorite little boy! All the moms arrived to decorated tables along with gifts, a handmade corsage to wear, yummy goodies to eat, a special performance of three mommy songs (hate I didn't have my video camera!), and fun times with other friends!

Sometimes, little boys just can't be serious!
Here is "the crew"...Pierce, Carter, and Cooper!

There were also mommy interviews with each child, mine went like this:

My mom is 25 year old, with blue eyes and brown hair.
Her favorite color is:  pink.
My Mom's favorite food is:  broccoli salad.
Her favorite restaurant is:  Applebee's.
To have fun, my mom likes to play games.
My Mom's favorite store is: Target.
My Mom gets angry when: I pull stars off.
My Mom is happiest when : I don't pull stars.
What I like best about my Mom is: playing games with me.
I know my Mom loves me because: God loves me.
My Mom's names is: Ginger.

I wouldn't say this was 100% accurrate, but we did get lots of laughs out of the some of the kids responses!

These lined the walls of the room, looks like it was a hot day on the playground when this one was taken!  Such a fun morning to celebrate Mother's Day, I hate I won't have this to look forward to next year!!

Dance Recital?!?!

Sunday night was the Preschool/Children's Choir performance at church. For some reason, my child decided it should also be a dance recital and didn't even skip a beat while singing. We have laughed and laughed at this! He also holds his hand up during the entire song as if he is "praising". I'm not sure he's ever seen anyone do that, which just adds to the drama of the song!

I do love listening to all of these sweet voices. They actually did a good job singing on stage in the big church as the youngest group in there!

Yee Haw!

On Saturday, Pierce helped his buddy, Ford, celebrate his 4th birthday with a farm themed party! It was complete with a horse ride, petting lots of animals at the petting zoo, acting like cowboys, and yummy snacks!

Once these hats came out, the boys ran around yelling, "YEE HAW!".

I'm pretty sure my favorite moment of the party was when Carter said we were on a poop farm instead of a petting farm!  We couldn't correct him, it was true...with free range of the farm, the animals had made a mess!
Happy Birthday, Ford!  Thanks for letting us help you celebrate your big day!!

Sweet Teachers

We are thankful to have so many sweet teachers this year. Pierce really loves all his teachers, and thankfully we don't have to drag him into any of his classes. He's never complained about not wanting to go to school and begs to go see his teachers at church. We are so thankful for their giving hearts!

Last week, we got to celebrate all of them during Teacher Appreciation Week!  His teacher at school, got a little something special everyday and we took special treats to all of his teachers at church.  Pierce was super excited to give out all the goodies, but didn't understand why I didn't pack up cookies for all of his classmates!

You Never Know...

...what you'll find around here. Pierce still loves to cook in his little kitchen and he had used some of our kitchen pots to "cook in". I was pleased when he cleaned up upon request...little did I know he left his food in the pot and I almost had a melted mess when I went to cook! So glad I opened up the pot before I turned the stove on!!

The Many Faces...

Last weekend, Pierce insisted on helping his daddy wash my car. I think he was helpful for about two mintues, then he decided it would be more fun to play in the water instead!
Then he decided to show me his multiple faces....I can't remember what he titled them all, but I'm pretty sure the last one was his "thinking face"!
