Corn on the Cob!

Who knew my picky eater would love corn on the cob! During the 4th, we had some fresh corn that my cousins grew, along with some yummy ribs. Pierce kept taking a bite of my ribs and corn, but I just thought he was mimicking what we were doing. Last night at dinner, he wanted the whole thing to himself!

Annual 4th Fun!

The 4th is an exciting time for our family, that means my sister and her family come over to visit for the week! We started this tradition several years ago. Our parents even volunteered to keep the boys for a night while us sisters and spouses headed down to the beach for a night! Thanks Gigi and Poppa!!

These cousins really love each other! Chapman was so sweet to Pierce. He's going to be a great big brother this fall!
Chapman really likes to cheese it up for the camera too...I think he gets it from his mama!
Each year we also have an annual pool day at my cousin, Ben's. It's always lots of fun!
And, I thought I'd get a sweet picture of the cousins before we left, however, they are looking like trouble here....frick and frack is what we've been calling them. We better keep our eye on them next year!

Bedhead....sort of

Poor Pierce still doesn't have a full head of hair, I think it still may be a while for that. Although he looks just like his daddy, he seems to have gotten his hair from me....not very much of it. I was pretty much a bald little girl until 2 or so. The little bit of hair he has now has really just grown the last few months. I'm sure you think this is silly, but I was actually excited when he woke up from his nap yesterday with "the bedhead". Looks like we are finally making progress...well, a little bit. At least we are saving money on haircuts!

Fun with Fathers!

Over the weekend we headed south to spend some time with family. As always, we got to visit and play with lots of friends and family. It was a SUPER hot weekend, so Granddaddy blew up the pool and we played for a while to cool off.
We also met up with Gigi and Poppa and took both grandfathers out to eat. It is very rare they we see them at the same time. M's black-eye really adds to this pic, don't you think?!


I did a bad job of remembering to take a pic of Pierce and his daddy after church, so here's their first official one together.

Alabama Adventure!

We got season passes for the summer to Alabama Adventure since it is so close. Pierce loves the kiddie area and mama likes that it wears him out (but it wears her out too)! We will have lot of fun days there this summer!

Summer MDO

Pierce started a local Mother's Day Out program for the summer session yesterday. This summer he is going 2 days, and in the fall 3 days. He was ready to go and did not want me snapping any pictures! He does not look very happy, but had a great day! There were no tears at all!! He went right in his room like a big boy...always a relief. I think he's going to have lots of fun with Ms. Courtney and Ms. Lila, along with some new friends!
