A Weekend Full of Fun

A few weekends ago, Pierce had his first RA lock-in at church...he loved it! He came home shirtless. HA! We later found it in the bottom of his sleeping bag. We enjoyed a date night with friends at Café 123, we will definitely have to go back. Yum!

After Pierce got home from the lock in, he had a few hours to rest up before basketball.  His sweet teacher came to watch him!

Since Pierce and I were solo that Sunday, while M had to go out of town, we picked up Rankin and went to the movies. 

The biggest part of the weekend was Pierce finally riding his big bike by himself!!!  He's still a little shaky but making progress.

Maggie's10!

Maggie turned 10 in January. She's been such a big part of our family...and Pierce doesn't know life without her!  She put up with a crying baby, then a crazy toddler, and showed him love the whole time.  We love our Maggie girl!

School Days

 Pierce was excited to reach the top of the daily behavior chart one day...and the kids on his bus were matchy, matchy one day.  The sisters were not too surprising, but it was funny that he and Grayson were dressed identical!

His school had a fundraiser at one of the local pizza places, it was fun to go pick up our pizza in a box he had decorated!

New Years Shenanigans

We rang in 2015, with our sweet neighbors and lots of other families. It was impossible to get all the kiddos, but Pierce was glad we did this instead of us going to the adult party!  The next day we made a road trip to Hoover to see friends!

We cheered on Maury and Carter at their basketball game and had a fun visit with Mrs. Miles (one of Pierce's favorite visits!).

We loved visiting church to see so many great friends...with lots of laughs and playtime in between!

Thanks to the Coulson crew for hosting us!!  We can't wait to visit again soon!

More Christmas Craziness

Our craziness continued on Christmas day with a day full of family time. We packed up and headed down to Luverne...we enjoyed lots of family time, and of course, Pierce enjoyed more presents.

This robe from Aunt Mallory was one of his favorite gifts.  The ENTIRE family played this game...multiple times.

The most exciting of all gifts, was finding out that Mallory and Foster are expecting a sweet baby....we have also found out it is a Baby Girl!  We can't wait to welcome her this summer!!!

A Holly Jolly Christmas

The excitement of Christmas morning finally arrived! Well, after we woke Pierce up around 7:15. Who knew that would be the morning he wanted to sleep!  We would have left him there longer except we had to pack up and leave later and knew he would want time to play.

I love the magic of Christmas through the eyes of a child and hope that it continues for much, much longer!!!

At school, he wrote a note to Santa and asked for a blanket and socks...Santa listened and got him new Auburn bedding and basketball socks!

He was VERY, VERY excited about his new basketball goal!!  Big presents don't look like much under the tree.

Of course, we had to have our "Happy Birthday, Jesus!" celebration before we packed up to head out of town.

The Night Before Christmas...

Our Christmas Eve was a little different than in the past. We went to the Christmas Eve service at church, but missed seeing all of the sweet faces of so many friends. However, it was a good service and I look forward to it again next year.  We also missed out on our annual dinner with friends, so we went out instead (not a bad compromise since I didn't have to cook!).  We even let Pierce open his big gift from us, which we've never done before...but since we leave on Christmas day for several days, we wanted him to have a little extra time to enjoy it.

So VERY excited about his game system!  Too bad it had to download the games and he didn't really get to play it that night.  Oops.

He put the reindeer food out, cookies for Santa, told Elfie good bye, and we all read the Christmas story together before bed.
