RES Football & Phonics Literacy Day

Pierce's school has a big behavior celebration at the end of each 9 weeks to encourage and promote good behavior school wide. They often go off campus such as the movies, bowling alley, etc... This time they had a fun day at school complete with football style tailgating activities, phonics games, reading, and then a big pep rally. The kids LOVED having Aubie come visit! Who wouldn't?!?! Along with cheerleaders and some of the pep band. It was an exciting day at school!

Super Champ also made an appearance!

That's Pierce in the front giving Aubie a high five!

Homecoming 2015

We headed downtown for the Homecoming parade, then ate at Cheeburger Cheeburger. Nothing quite says Auburn like eating there, right?! It was fun to see lots of girls from our neighborhood twirling and dancing in the parade too!  And a few Hoover students that are in the band.  Of course, an Aubie sighting is always a highlight too!

On gameday, we tailgated on campus with some friends here in town.  Their spot is right across from Tiger Walk so we took Pierce.  We probably had not been to Tiger Walk in several years and Pierce didn't even know what it was.  PARENTING FAIL!!!  Seeing Mr. Will was one of the highlights for us!

MC and her family stopped by the tailgate for a little while.  We love seeing the Latham's when they are in town!

It ended up being a cold, rainy day.  Can you tell by our hair?!?!  It was still a fun day with new and old friends!

The Biltmore

We went on a mini-vacation to the Biltmore, mainly to celebrate Cousin Mac's wedding. It was a weekend full of celebration but we tried to pack in as much as we could of all the things that the Biltmore estate has! Wow, what a beautiful place it is and absolutely gorgeous for a wedding!

First up, Rehearsal and dinner:
Pierce and I played outside while rehearsal went on inside.

On Saturday we toured the Biltmore house with some of the cousins.  It's such an amazing place!  Surprisingly, the kids were much more into it than I was expecting.  Pierce said he liked the laundry room and the Halloween Room!

Wedding time!

There was even a Mexican Hat dance...pretty entertaining to watch.

We are the Titans! The Mighty, Might Titans!

Pierce was very excited to play flag football on the city league this year. He was even more excited that his team was the Titans and that buddies, Jones and Landon, were on his team!

RES Spirit Night at an AHS game was full of fun activities.  A special pep rally at RES that afternoon, field time before the game including cheering from the tunnel as the players came out, along with a tiger walk style that they got to high five all the players before the game!

It always makes for football fun when buddy, Vaughn, is in town!

Trail Walk

One thing we love about our neighborhood is that we have a little adventure without even getting in the car.  On a beautiful fall day, we hit the trails for a walk...and some goofing around!

Football Saturdays

We love football Saturdays around here. It means lots of tailgating, yummy food, and rare time with cousins!
We have a few regulars that tailgate with us that aren't cousins, but Pierce thinks that they are!

The guys worked hard before this season started to build a deck, which we are really enjoying this year.  Especially on these wet weeks when it's muddy!

Labor Day Lake Weekend

We had such a fun and laid back Labor Day weekend.  We spent the weekend with the Lee's at the cabin, along with the Williams family.  These boys had a blast!  It's hard to believe we've been friends for 15 years and is so great to see our boys playing together!

These two became quick buddies!

It was a weekend full of no make up, few showers, good food, lots of laughs and great memories!  I hope we can start making this an annual thing!!
