Spring Sightings

Spring proved to be a busy time again, but we wouldn't have it any other way! The entire 2nd grade had a Wax Museum at school.  We loved going in to see the kids and hear their presentations. Pierce did Walt Disney.  We laughed at his knotted up tie when we walked in the room.

When your best friend is 2 hours away, we are thankful for technology to "see" him and wish him Happy Birthday!

Pierce was one of the students selected by the music teacher at his school to participate in the ORFF Ensemble. They put on a special performance to show us their hard work.

Easter Weekend

We had a busy Easter weekend at home. The highlight was when the Flowers crew came to visit! Oh how we have missed these sweet friends and the boys definitely didn't miss a beat.

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday celebrating our Lord and Savior, then headed over to the Miller's for lunch and an egg hunt .

Spring Break 2016, Part 3

Our final destination was to Charleston! First we went to Fort Sumpter, walked around downtown, had lunch and then a horse tour.

It was a gorgeous and hot day!  Such a fun end to our Spring Break trip!

Spring Break 2016, Part 2

While in the Charlotte area, we went by the Speedway track and Hendrick Motorsports.  It's crazy how tiny the area is where the drivers sit in the cars!

We also drove by the Panther's Stadium, SC Gamecock's campus and stadium and had a yummy dinner at Mr. Friendly's.  Pierce decided we needed to make a toast and clink our glasses.  Ha!

Spring Break 2016, Part 1

While I love the beach, this year we headed north for Spring Break. Our first stop was at Great Wolf Lodge in NC! What a fun few days we had...and who knew that so many families from Auburn would be there too?!  We were so glad that the Raughton's were there to hang out with.  Pierce LOVED having friends and not just mom and dad!

We got in a quick round of putt putt before we left and look who was proud of his hole in one!

We had a great time at GWL and will definitely have to go back.  Lots of fun and memories!

The Heat

This was Pierce's second season of basketball, I think it's probably his favorite sport to play so far. He played for The Heat this year.  The boys ended up doing well and made so many improvements during the season. I always find basketball season very entertaining!

Thanks to Poppa and Gigi for coming to his last game and adding to our cheering section!

Jump for Heart/Dr Seuss Week

Jump for Heart week was another big success this year at RES. They raised a lot of money and the kids had a great time jumping and celebrating on the last day.  I was freezing outside but the kids didn't seem to mind!

Dr. Seuss week was also full of fun activities.  Dressing up every day of the week wears a mama out.  Pierce especially loved career day, he chose to be an author this year and book character day, with Diary of a Wimpy Kid.  I particularly liked this one because the dressing up was super easy!
