Mama's Big Day
My birthday rolled around yet again, even though I refuse to get another year older! My sweet friends planned a fun night complete with lots of yummy food, great company, and tons of cute kiddos. It made it even more special knowing more than likely it will be my last birthday here with these precious friends.
Kindergarten Neighborhood Playdate
A few days before a school started we had a neighborhood playdate to meet other Kindergarteners and parents before the big day. The kids played a lot and had a fun ice cream treat!
I love that Pierce is hugging up to his sweet friend, K. And his new buddy in class, Blake, is on the other side of him and they ride the same bus!

Meet the Teacher
Pierce was so excited that the day was finally here to go to "Meet the Teacher" at school! We packed up all his supplies, he distributed them, and we checked out his classroom!

Last Days of Summer
When we got back from the beach, we only had a few days left before school started. We made the most of it with some special playdates with friends! One day we went to 1st Avenue Rocks, an indoor rock climbing facility. Maury was really good! The boys enjoyed the harness climbs much more than the free climbs. I think because they could jump down from the top like it was a ride!
The next day, we went to McWane with the Coulson's and the Cooper's. Sadly, I didn't really take many pictures. Another fun day with friends! We can't believe summer is at an end and it's time for school to start!!

Mexico Beach
We hit the road and headed to Mexico Beach last month with our family of three just before school started. We love the quiet beach there and couldn't have asked for more gorgeous weather. All of us enjoyed playing, swimming, relaxing, and of course, lots of eating!!
Pierce did great entertaining himself, however, we quickly realized that we may need a friend to tag along next time!

| Thumbs up! We LOVE time at the beach! |
One of the highlights of our trip was our kayaking adventure! We went down towards Appalachicola. It brings on a whole new dimension taking your kid with you, but we all had a fantastic time.
Once Pierce figured out he could just get out and swim around he thought it was awesome!
Our trip was way to short, hopefully, we can stay longer on our next trip. We can't wait to go back!! Thanks Cousin Ferrin for letting us stay!!!
Shipley's
Summer Reading Prize!
Pierce loves participating in the summer reading program with the library. He REALLY gets excited about counting the pages each night to see how many he has. He's a little math guru already and would figure out about how many more he needed to read to reach his goal. He was super pumped when we went to cash in and pick out a prize!
He picked a science bag and loved the magnifying glass. The little scientist carried it around the entire library and used it to pick out more books and a movie!
