Fa, la, la, la, la...

The sweet teachers at Pierce's school braved the cold weather one night, hoped on the cheese wagon, and went caroling around town!  They hit most of the major areas where their students live and one stop was at the park in our neighborhood!

It was such a fun treat and I think the teachers loved it as much as we did.  The kids loved seeing their teachers someplace different and running into friends!

First Belt Test

Pierce's karate group in his after school program had their first belt testing in December.  Most of the kids went for the next belt color/ranking, but the kindergarten students tested for white senior.  Mrs. Williams actually gave him the option of choosing if he wanted to test for the next belt with the big kids or do white senior.  He was a little worried he might not remember everything for the next color so he stuck with white senior and did great!  He is super excited about his new belt and his accomplishment!!

That Silly Elfie...

Pierce kept on wondering when Elfie would make his grand appearance at our house this year.  It seemed that all of his friends he knew had already spotted their elves at home, but ours had not come back yet.  Perhaps, it was because Pierce has been a pretty good boy this year!  ;)

He finally arrived around the 2nd week of December and put lots of presents under Pierce's tree in his room.  One book for him to unwrap and read every night before bed!

He also brought a letter from the North Pole from Santa!

He did his usual silly things too like hanging out in the Christmas tree two days in a row...I guess he liked it so much there that he didn't want to move!  He had a party with all of the superheros, drove the lego jeep, hung all of our underwear on the mantle (including mom and dad's), drew faces on Pierce's baby pictures, and wrapped a few gifts to put under the tree!

Christmas Choirs and Batter Bash

The preschool choirs from church had their annual Christmas program and Batter Bash while Lou was here.  Pierce made "Rudolph donuts"...I was excited it didn't require a lot of cooking! 

Here is the sweet group of 2's and 3's, I help teach the 2's (bottom row).  They are one of the sweetest groups we have had!  You never know what this group will do and they did GREAT!

The Kindergarten group got to dress up, Pierce was one of the wise men.

Tis the Season...for the SEC game

We were excited the "Lou" was able to come for a visit in December.  We had a wedding to go to (us girls) but she got to hang out with us and stay with us for several days.  She got to do lots of Christmas activities with us...first up, trimming the tree!

I LOVE that Pierce is in kindergarten this year and that I made this ornament when I was in Kindergarten!  He thinks it's pretty cool too...it even has a special note inside that I wrote when I was his age!!

Pulling for our tigers that night while we watched the big game...next stop, Pasadena for the National Championship!

Cookies with Santa

Pierce's school hosted  "Cookies with Santa" in early December.  It was a fun night to see friends, get special treats, and of course, see Santa!!

Anxiously awaiting for our number to be called for our group while watching Frosty the Snowman on the big screen!

Lots of special activities were planned as you waited your turn...one was your "Dear Santa" letter.

Thankful Tree

Pierce made a "thankful tree" at school for all of the things he is thankful for.  He listed "kchre" (our country), God, "Mis Mils" (Mrs. Miles, his teacher), Mom and Dad.  We loved the things he listed and the way he spells so many things!
