I Love You, Mom

Mother's Day was full of special times with some of my favorite moms. Pierce's class held a special program in his classroom complete with gifts, a special lunch and songs.
We headed to Luverne that weekend to celebrate with Grandmomma (minus a photo) and time with family, including this little love!

Madison introduced Pierce to snapchat on her phone, which provided lots of laughs!
On Sunday, Pierce and I hit the road to meet Gigi for church and lunch for Mother's Day!

I also had my annual beach trip with these moms, which is one of my favorite weekends of the year!  Thankful for these friendships and daddy's that hold the fort down so we can spend time together.

Calloway Gardens

The second grade took a field trip to Calloway Gardens in May. I was able to join them for a beautiful day of hiking, learning about birds, butterflies and insects, seeing some historical sights and a picnic with some pretty great kids.

Pierce and Jackson

GIANTS

Spring baseball brought a lot of excitement. We were all happy to be on the same team at the Raughton's and our next door neighbor, Noah! Pierce was over the moon! M also helped coach with Mr. Lance!

Pierce and Landon

Pierce made a lot of improvements this season with his hitting and really enjoyed when Coach Lance let him play pitcher!

Auburn CityFest

Pierce and I went to Auburn CityFest again this year, it was another HOT day!  We enjoyed seeing friends, learning about various birds from the Raptor Center, participating in kids events, hitting up the food trucks, listening to music and browsing all the vendors goodies.

Hay-Hay and her boys were in town for baseball tournaments too so we met them at the AU baseball game that night.  It was a fun night and Pierce loved some selfie time with her!  We love seeing old friends in our town.

Music & Miracles

Jordan Hare hosted their first concert this spring. It was such a fun venue! Old Dominion, Sam Hunt, Miranda Lambert, and Kenny Chesney were in the line up.  It was a great night to help raise money for a great cause.  I hope that AU will continue to host events like this.

Will and Faith came and stayed with us, we had so much fun with them.  Especially an unforgettable late night/early morning trip to the worst Waffle House experience ever!

SURPRISE!!!

We had a weather day that we didn't use, so Pierce had a day off of school in April. Since we missed Carter's birthday, we decided to surprise him at school! He was so shocked to see us!
Lots of catching up during lunch time, along with a tour to show off his classroom and a visit to see Mrs. Mary in her room.  Sweet buddy, Jack, was in her class this year so we got to see him too!

We even got to check Carter out, went bowling and had a special snack at Shipley's before we had to drop Carter back off.  What a fun day to celebrate this sweet friendship!!!

Spring Sightings

Spring proved to be a busy time again, but we wouldn't have it any other way! The entire 2nd grade had a Wax Museum at school.  We loved going in to see the kids and hear their presentations. Pierce did Walt Disney.  We laughed at his knotted up tie when we walked in the room.
When your best friend is 2 hours away, we are thankful for technology to "see" him and wish him Happy Birthday!
Pierce was one of the students selected by the music teacher at his school to participate in the ORFF Ensemble. They put on a special performance to show us their hard work.
