....these are just a few of the things that we did yesterday! We met friends for a much cooler indoor playdate at Cherub's Clubhouse. Pierce danced around at the Kindermusic class then we headed to their indoor play area to get out some energy.

Annual Fourth on the Farm!
Each year the fourth has turned into an annual trip at the farm with my parents. It's also a special time because my sister and her family always come here from Texas. We had not seen them in almost 8 long months!
It's a good thing we both have boys, we always have lots of outdoor fun...riding the jeep, four-wheeler, tractor, fishing, swimming, and just being boys playing outside!
No worries...they only rode in the driveway and Pierce's daddy was in the backseat to grap him in case he decided to make a quick getaway!
Picking fresh veggies with Poppa for Gigi to cook!

Pierce has never been a fan of ice cream, popsicles, yogurt...anything really cold to eat. He thought he would try this ice-pop though since his older cousin was. Whatever he did, Pierce decided he needed to do it too!
Aunt Mallory even came to visit us at the pool.
Sisterly love...
Quite possibly the sweetest baby ever, Sullivan. He is the most precious thing! Just a reminder of how little we get to see them. The last time we saw them he was only two weeks old!
Pierce and Sullivan...it was so sweet how quickly Pierce took to him. We always talk about him but I'm not sure that he really knew who he was. Pierce loved just to sit and talk to him and take him toys.
Playing in the sprinkler is just more fun in your Elmo underwear!
Yummy snacks at the pool that Mrs. "Wibby" made.
Cousins riding the tractor with Poppa...
Another annual tradition has been having a huge fireworks show. Pierce's daddy and "B" have always been in charge of it so really we've never sat as a family and watched fireworks. This year, there weren't tons of people there and it was only us. And, just a few fireworks "for the boys". Here are Poppa and his helpers getting them ready...
This was the first year for Pierce to even see them, he's always been asleep. He thought they were loud and liked them best in daddy's lap with his ears covered!
And finally, the annual photo op of the boys. It's so rare for them to be together that we try to get some type of special pictures. Normally, we dress them up and go down to the lake. This year, the baby was asleep so we just took a few around the house. You can tell that Chapman lives in Texas since he is sporting his boots with his shorts and longhorns cap!

I'm pretty sure that my nephew, Chapman, is one of the funniest kids I have ever seen! Too bad I didn't get his redneck imitations on video! We are thankful for such sweet time and memories with our family. I think it makes it more special since we rarely see each other. Pierce adores all of them too! We can't wait to make more memories next year!!

Sweet Daddys!
Putting the finishing touches on Daddy's gift!
Gigi and Poppa came over for dinner to celebrate Father's Day on Sunday. Pierce had fun splashing in the water while we were waiting to eat!

Helping Poppa open his gift...

Pierce had so many wonderful great-grandfathers I wish he had known. We are so thankful for all of the "daddy's" in our life and hate we couldn't celebrate the day with Granddaddy too.

"I my bed!"
Pierce has turned into Mr. Independent these days! He's always saying, "I do it" when I need something. He helped me change the sheets on several beds this weekend, so after his nap he went to his room and made his bed for me on his own. He ran in and said, "I my bed!" (I made my bed). He was so proud of himself!
Reading to himself...
The big news of the weekend is potty training! He wore his big boy underwear for a good portion of the weekend. We still have a good way to go, but it's a step in the right direction!

I DO
Last week was a week full of "I do's". We celebrated our 9th anniversary, both of our parents celebrated 40+ years each, along with several other friends and family. The most important "I do" of the week was Aunt Mallory's wedding! She and Foster had a sweet ceremony on what could not have been a hotter Alabama weekend!
Pierce is going to have withdrawals from seeing family so much these last few months. He loved spending time with all his cousins, especially Madison. She is such a little mama and took good care of him.
The happy couple!
Sweet time with the little cousins!
It takes a lot of entertainment to keep a two year old content at a after rehearsal dinner....

Pierce debuted as a ringbearer for the first time. I'm pretty sure that I was more nervous about the wedding that the bride or her mom. I am happy to say that he did great! M & M's were good bribery and his sweet little smile was full of chocolate by the time the ceremony was over.
Playing Ring Around the Rosey and watching movies to pass the time...

Leaving the reception ready to start their new life together...we can't wait to see what God has in store for them!

Storytime LIVE!
Tonight Pierce and I had a date for Storytime LIVE (a Nick Jr production) at the BJCC. It featured four of their preschool shows, several that Pierce loves. I was skeptical about taking him not knowing if he would actually sit through it and he LOVED it! He was so very excited and would sing, dance and clap along. I wish I could have gotten more pics but no photography was allowed during the show. He didn't even want to leave during intermission, he was afraid he might miss something!
He is smiling so big just before we went in but he wouldn't look up at me!
The show is about to begin!
On the phone talking to daddy during intermission. Telling him everything he saw!

Make a Splash...
....with the summer reading program! This is the theme for the summer reading program at the library. We got Pierce registered today and he was really excited about his books. He even asked the ladies at the desk for "momas" (Thomas the Train) and bob builder (Bob the Builder) books!
Computer time is one of his favorite things to do at the library. Lucky for him, it was a small crowd this afternoon and he could spend plenty of time on them.
This morning we went to vote. I think this was his first visit to the polls. He even got three "I voted" stickers as proof!
These other pictures are just a few random ones. This was from the pool last week, these goggles crack me up. I think Pierce had more fun just wearing them around the house!
During our kitchen renovations, the house was a bit of a mess, so I guess Pierce was tired of it and decided he would have to clean!
He's also gotten more excited about using the potty lately. Apparently, Mickey needed to be wiped and cleaned so Pierce took it upon himself to go get a wipe and fix Mickey right up!
