One of the things I hear all the time is, "Mom I want to go to _____'s house today." OR, "Can ______come to my house?" Well, lucky for Pierce he got his wish!
On Monday, after I picked Pierce up from school we stopped by Carter's house and took him home with us. His daddy was out of town so I thought his mommy would enjoy a little break! We played outside, did lots of running, make tracks to ride on, played superheros, and ate dinner. I even made the BEST picture ever of them together and some four-year old, whom I will not call out, apparently deleted it off my phone!
And, to top if off, friends Grant and Grace stayed with us Tuesday morning and Pierce went to his buddy, Ford's house, on Tuesday afternoon. It was an exciting 24 hours!!

My Little Valentine
We had a pretty quiet Valentine's Day around here, just me and my little valentine most of the day. We had a breakfast, lunch, and dinner date...just the two of us. Daddy had a long day at work, about 5 am-7:30pm but we enjoyed our day together since I didn't have to work! :)
We even made a heart cake and I think it mixes up better when you stick your tongue out!

When I Go...
We are hoping to take a family trip to Disney in the fall. One of the local travel companies was hosting a Disney session last weekend, so my boys headed there to get some info. Pierce colored some pictures, ate some snacks, and came home with this book that he has looked at multiple times each day!
To add to it, his buddy Carter was at Disney when he got this. He can't wait to go and constantly points out the different parks and destinations of exactly where he wants to go. I think he will have our whole trip planned for us...let the countdown begin!!!

Be Mine
Last Monday, Pierce's class celebrated V-Day with a class party. He did great writing his name on all of the valentines for his friends and also writing most of theirs! He was really excited to arrive at school that morning and couldn't wait to go in and share his valentines with all his buddies!
When we got home he was happy to find that he had mail. Gigi and Poppa had mailed him a valentines card! And, a few days later received a photo card from his cousins. Now he's sad when we go to the mailbox and there is nothing for him!
He was excited to bring home his "Clifford" valentine bag he made and check out all of the valentines from his classmates. We had to go through them all multiple times and discuss what kind of card each person gave him and sample lots of candy!

My Twin
Pierce has been obsessed with his "twin" lately after helping twin friends celebrate their birthday and realizing that he has older cousins that are twins. He keeps asking who his twin is, who is my twin, etc... I keep trying to explain what makes you a twin and that not everyone has a twin. He was almost in tears the other night sad that he couldn't find his twin!
After church the other day he excitedly said, "Hey mom, I found my twin!!!" His friend Alex Kate was in his class and he said that was his twin. When I asked how, he said because they had the same hair!

Double the Cake, Double the Fun!
Last weekend we helped friends, Grant & Grace, celebrate their third birthday at a gymnastics party! The kids loved all of the jumping, running, and climbing. I loved sitting up top in the observation area while the instructors were with the kids! (I didn't have my zoom lens with me, so that explains my fuzzy/cropped picture. Oops.)
Big buddies, ready to eat!

Their nana makes the BEST cakes! It's sweet that she makes one for each of them. I must admit, I always indulge in birthday cake at any Patterson party!
Happy Birthday sweet Grant and Grace!!
V-Day Card
Since our family is out of town, I usually try to send out V-Day cards to them. Last week, Pierce was in a super silly mood so we took some shots. However, I never got around to making a card. SO....HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!
