Last weekend, Pierce helped his friend, Hudson, celebrate turning 4! It was a beautiful morning to play at the park with friends, but the highlight was definitely when Ed's Pet World came to share some of their animal friends!
The kids were very intersted in what he had and birthday boy Hudson was not afraid of any of it! Several kids weren't sure and decided to hang back a little further away. Can't say that I blame them!!
Pierce and his buddy, Jack, were either really unsure about it or really into it. Look at these faces!!
Somehow, they even talked Hudson's mom into holding the snake! Yikes!!
I was surprised that Pierce really didn't want to touch hardly any of the animals, even a bird or turtle. However, he preferred to touch the crocodile...what in the world?!?!
Happy Birthday, Hudson! We enjoyed helping you celebrate your fun day!!

Our Adventure
The weather has been beautiful here in the afternoons, so several afternoons after school/work we have taken advantage of it!
Pierce has asked to go to the park in our neighborhood several times and I recently showed him the walking trail around it. He now tells me he is the leader and we are on an adventure. Of course, I get a play by play of our "adventure" each step of the way!

Pink Eye
About two weeks ago, Pierce woke up with the pink eye in one eye. Since he couldn't go to school, and he felt fine, we got some drops and made the most of the day!
We don't get to do nearly as much playtime together now that he is in preschool five days a week. The weather was beautiful, so we hit the road! He had a very mild case of pink eye so after two sets of drops it looked completely clear. We headed out to TreeTop Adventure for a round of golf and to check it all out since Pierce wants to have his party there. As you can see, the little golfer needs a more practice. Mr. Owen, can you help?!?!
Another highlight of the weekend was logging in a lot of time on his bike! Thankfully, pink eye goes away as quickly as it arrives!!

First Field Trip!!!
The much anticipated day arrived.... the first 4K Field Trip!!! Pierce was beyond excited and told me for days what time he had to be at school, what time they were leaving, and what he needed for the day!
4K and friends went to the Children's Theatre to see The Gingerbread Boy! Luckily, I found out when I dropped him off that another mom I knew is who Pierce was assigned to ride with. Therefore, I got lots of fun updates throughout the morning!
Pierce is on the front row, second from the right. It sounds like a fun time was had by all! I'm helping with the one in December, it should be an exciting and entertaining day!!!

Coloring for a Cause
One of M's co-workers, Mrs. Lori, is helping out with the Jimmie Hale Mission here in town. She wanted Pierce to color and decorate this placemat for them to use soon, maybe at Thanksgiving. He was excited to do it and I was impressed at how well his coloring skills have improved during 4K!
I traced his hand but other than that he did all of it by himself!
I think the fun part for us was explaining to him what the Jimmie Hale Mission is and answering all of his questions. Pierce was excited to make something for someone that may not have family or a home. I hope they like it as much as he liked making it! Mrs. Lori didn't even think he did it by himself since he did such a good job!

Boys Time!
Pierce LOVES "boys time" with his daddy! And, I think that his daddy loves that Pierce loves playing with and watching Transformers and Star Wars now. Pierce has recently discovered a lot of Star Wars movies that M had downstairs and decided they needed to have movie time!
Busy Birthday Weekend!
Last weekend was filled with birthday parties! First we helped buddies Walker and Lauren celebrate their birthdays football style! Pierce loved seeing friends from school, eating tailgate food, and it was even warm enough to turn the slide into a waterslide!
Happy Birthday, Walker & Lauren!!
A game of football with buddies Jack and Michael!
On Sunday, we helped Cayden celebrate his 4th birthday! It was perfect timing on a very rainy afternoon. The big boys played pool but I think we need a little fundamental work here...
Party entertainment for the kids was a magic show and balloon animals! Happy Birthday, Cayden!!
