Summer Reading

We hit the library a few weeks ago, loaded up on books, and got registered for the summer reading program!  It's one of our favorite places in town and I'm always excited that Pierce loves going too.  We are especially excited about the summer programming and hope to catch a show this week!  This year summer reading is exciting for me because Pierce reads most of the book independently.  So proud of our little reader!

Soccer Party

We finally got the end of the season soccer party in after lots of rescheduling due to rain! One of our parents works at the church at the Dayschool so we got to eat pizza, play in the air conditioning, and the receive the much anticipated trophies!

Coach Andrew gave each of the kids a serious pep talk!
Some pretty excited kiddos, minus Charlie Ann!  These friends loved having a little extra time together so close to their last day of school.

Last Day

Pierce's last day was a fun day with friends! They played most of the day, had pizza and popscicles outside, and ran and laughed a lot!
I found this from his first day at HDS and his last day.  What a difference!

Carter, Cooper and Jones

Hudson, Chase, John and Pierce

Being silly with his "girlfriends".
After school, we headed over to the park at Ross Bridge and met some friends there for a little more playtime together!

It was a great last day, of course, we had to cool off and celebrate on our way home with a trip to Whole Scoop for ice cream!!!

4K Water Day

The next to last school day was 4K water day!  These two were very excited!!  They had lots of fun jumping, splashing, and sliding with friends.  Along with an exciting picnic lunch outside!

Preschool Graduation

The day this mama was dreading...preschool graduation!  I was sad, but Pierce was super excited!  I can't believe his time at the Dayschool has come to an end.  The last three years at HDS have flown by!  We've made some wonderful, sweet friends these last three years.  I think I was most sad because most of the kids split off to different elementary schools.  Our time at HDS has been wonderful, the Dayschool will hold a special place in our heart!!
Entering and singing, "Jesus Loves the Little Children"...let the water works begin!

So very excited to have his own Bible!  We've read it lots at night, taken it in the car to read, and brought it to church lots already.

Sweet E and P

The original crew...Pierce, Carter, and Cooper
It was a very sweet graduation, along with a reception afterwards.  Each child had their artwork displayed, special treats, and goodies from the Dayschool!

The BEST 4K teachers - Mrs. Martha and Mrs. Carol!
Pierce also informed most of the staff at the end of the week that he would be back next year on the days he was out of school to be a helper. I hated to tell him that if his school was closed, the Dayschool probably would be too! We are going to have to work hard to keep up with all of our Dayschool families now. The countdown to Kindergarten is officially on and Pierce couldn't be more excited!!

End of Soccer Season

We had another fun soccer season, especially since our team was all Dayschool friends and families!  We got lots of rain toward the end of the season which made it hard to finish, but we finally got our games in.   I remembered to take the camera on our next to last game!
Water breaks and snack time!

I love this one of Carter and Pierce high-fiving each other when their team scored!

One of many pep-talks from Coach Andrew!

"There's no business like showbusiness..."

Pierce decided one day he wanted to put us on a show in the playroom. We sat down and he said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the show..."

He put on a short show with various super heros and concluded with "there's no business like showbusiness!" and took a bow.  I'm pretty sure he heard all of this on tv, but regardless, it still gave us a big laugh!
