Most Wednesdays, Pierce got to carpool with his buddy, K, after school this summer. The best part for these two meant playdates after school! One day I took them to the library to see a show and they were super excited!
It's also been fun to get to know this new friend, especially since they will be at the same elementary school. Pierce is excited to know his buddy will be there too!

Swim Lessons
Shades Cliff had swim lessons for members again in July. Pierce was able to do them and did great! It's amazing at how good of a swimmer he has become between last summer and this summer. Pierce and Carter were in the same skill level group (along with other friends). Teachers, Julianne and Christian, were not quick to split them up but quickly realized they had trouble paying attention together!

Movie Monday
Lots of good movies have come out this summer, Pierce has been couting down the days that Despicable Me 2 would start showing. He's been begging to go see it so we declared Monday, Movie Monday around here. It was a fun date with my favorite little guy! I'm sure we will go back again when it hits the dollar movie theater.
Swimming...and More Swimming
Saturday was a day filled with lots and lots of water fun! Up first, Chase's 5th birthday party!! Carter joined us for the day...these boys loved reuiniting with lots of dayschool friends they have been missing.
Then, we were home maybe 45 minutes and headed to the college swim party where Pierce got lots of attention! He played in the pool the entire time, showed off his skills, and hung in playing water games with the big kids!
You know it was an exhausting day when he slept til almost 8:00 the next morning!!

Mission Monday
Last Monday we were able to make it to our first, Mission Monday, at church. The kids created their secret agent nametag, learned about Japan, played a game with the big kids to learn various facts about Japan, played a Japanese game, and did some mission work in the children's department. It was a fun morning, I hope we can make it at least once more this summer!
We also grabbed some lunch at Tip Top afterwards with some friends. I can't believe this is our first time to go! Yes, we've lived here for 10 years and have never been!

A Rainy 4th on the Farm
As always, we made our annual dash down to the farm to celebrate the 4th with my family. It's always an exciting time, especially for the little cousins since they rarely get to see each other. I'm pretty sure this is the first year that I can remember than included pretty much a monsoon the ENTIRE time we were there and no fireworks! Nonetheless, these little guys had lots of fun!
These boys had so much fun together despite not getting to do all of usual fun stuff at the farm. We can't wait to have more cousin time again soon!!
Thanks to all the rain, they had to find other ways to occupy their time.
Happy 4th! Can you tell he dressed himself?!?! And yes, playing in the rain!

Another first, not sweating and wearing longer sleeves (even got a little chilly). Craziness.

These little munchkins were dying to swim so they got to swim in their underwear, in the rain. Chap thinks he is Mr. Cool, while the other two are super dramatic!

I know I shouldn't post this, but for the record, I didn't take it. Little boys being boys...their favorite part of the farm!

Safari Greg
Safari Greg was at the library a few weeks ago, so we caught his show. It was filled with lots of different types of animals and look who thought it would be fun to have his picture made with this HUGE snake! Yikes!!
