Pumpkin Patch

All of the first grade classes at Pierce's school took a field trip to Lazenby's Farm to the pumpkin patch. It was a WARM day at the pumpkin patch, but I was so glad I could go.  It was a gorgeous day outside filled with games, a hay and train ride, picnic lunch, petting zoo time, playtime, shucking corn, inflatable fun, and learning all about pumpkins and corn.  Whew...a FULL day!!

The pumpkin selection wasn't very big at the end of the season, but he found his favorite one!

Class photo with Mrs. Godwin

He LOVED time with this bunny!

Run, Pierce, Run!!!

The big school fundraiser for RES was in October. Each child had individual fundraising goals and the school exceeded their total goal of $30,000. I was happy to hear we won't have to sale wrapping paper!
Pierce and Grayson hopped off the bus like this one day!
Race day was finally here, his class was so excited!  I helped work during his class shift and even ran too.  I should have dressed more appropriately, but at least I had on running shoes!

I love his celebration as he stopped after each lap to get marked!

A fun race day with my little champion, along with a dance party outside and kona ice to celebrate!!

Birthday Kick-off!

Birthday celebrations started early this year! First, a birthday card in the mail from Aubie. Pretty cool!
Then, a surprise package from his buddy Chase waiting at the door.  What an unexpected and fun surprise!

A morning hike...

Since Pierce was out of school on Columbus Day, we took a little field trip to Chewacla.  We had lots of fun hiking and going on a new adventure!  Of course, Pierce wanted to go find the waterfall.  He loved picking the trails, but we didn't venture off too far.  I wasn't up for getting lost!  We definitely need to go back with daddy since he missed out!

Pierce took this photo, after he took it he spotted the playground across the water so we stopped by on our way out.  I love this special time, it's much more rare now that he's in big school!

Happy Times

Pierce and I made a quick last minute trip to Hoover in October. We tried to visit with as many people as we could in a quick 24 hours, but of course, not everyone we wanted to see!
Road trip, baby!!
The Coulson's were super sweet to have us, since Owen was out of town for a mission trip I think Sally was glad to have a little help.  M met us for dinner with the Coulson's and Breeze's before he headed back to Auburn.
The boys stayed with us and the girls stayed at the Breeze's (minus Caroline of course!)

We loved cheering Carter on at his soccer game!  Too bad his mama didn't get to see it because she had to take Maury on an unplanned dr visit.
We also visited his buddy, Keller, and his family...along with ice cream with Chase and his sweet Mama!
And, of course, a visit with the Latham family before we left!

So glad that Mary Claire and Pierce are still sweet friends!

Season Closer

Fall Ball for the Braves ended in October.  Pierce made some improvements since playing last spring.  He got several good hits this season and I think he enjoyed a more relaxed season!

Sadly, no team photo and I don't even think I took the good camera to a game.  Mommy fail!

A Grand Getaway

M had a conference for work in October, since he was on the planning committee he needed a little extra help so I tagged along. Since he is in such a male dominated line of work, they have a program just for the spouses with lots of entertainment. I enjoyed pool time, lots of good food, shopping, catching up with a few old friends and making a few new ones.

The highlight of the spouses program was our pinterest party and the Bingo morning.  I pretty sure I've never played bingo like this before.  It was serious business with some great prizes!!
I loved my afternoon jogs on this trail and all of the beautiful homes!  Not boring at all.  A super big thanks to Gigi for staying with Pierce too.  He had so much fun with you!!!
