Last week the circus was in town, so we headed downtown for the show. We all had a great time and agreed that this years show was much better than last year!
Pierce enjoyed the pre-show activities and especially meeting this "blue clown". He pointed him out during the entire show and said, "there is my clown!"
A big highlight for Pierce this year were the ninjas as he referred to them, along with their tricks, knives, and wood breaking abilities. He also loved the motorcycles, especially when 7 of them crammed into that small cage and drove around. He screamed at the top of his lungs for more (see pic below, I hate it's blurry but he loved it!).
The "dragon ninja circus" has a lot to live up to next year! At first he was scared of the dragon theme, but then decided it was super cool!!

The Wedding Dancer
Over the weekend we headed to Luverne to help Cousin Dara celebrate her big day and welcome Tim to the family. This was the first time that Pierce has attended a wedding that he has not been in. I'm not big on kids going to weddings, but since all of the younger cousins were in the wedding we gave it a try...and he did pretty well!
Before the wedding, we went over to Cousin Max and Madison's and apparently he got geared up with his dancing since he played Just Dance with Madison. Later, he danced the night away at the reception the changed his clothes during the clean up and danced more. He even told one of the guys the music was too slow, that he needed rock and roll and he needed it louder! Ha! Sadly, this is the only pic we took but he loved dancing with Aunt Mallory! He got upset and told me he needed his wedding clothes back on to dance better!!

Writing & Drawing
My son is very much a typical boy, table work has yet to be something he enjoys. Any activity at the table is usually very short lived. Rarely, does he comes home with much written on his papers. However, recently he has started to enjoy writing letters, drawing, and making simple shapes. Hope it lasts!!
Lately, he has enjoyed practicing his name everywhere from the bathtub to sidewalk chalk outside. A few days ago, he wanted to write Uncle Foster's name (I guess since we saw him over the weekend) and he actaully did pretty well. I just told him what letters and he did this by himself!
He was pretty sad that the rain washed his creations away today. Guess we will have to make some new monsters once its dry again!

Mollie's Birthday Fun
On Saturday, Pierce helped his classmate, Mollie, celebrate her 4th birthday! The kids had fun sliding and jumping, along with lots of pizza and cake!
With buddies, London and Mollie...I think they are a mess at school. Pierce had a fun time playing with lots of friends outside of school, Happy 4th Birthday Mollie!!

Monster Jam!
Pierce and his best buddy, Carter, were treated to a night out with their dads recently for Monster Truck Jam!! Surprisingly, the noise didn't bother them (thanks to Owen) and it was a night full of fun!
From my report, Carter was REALLY into it and I couldn't believe they stayed for the whole thing! We've even had to watch it on tv several times since then. The guys will have to make this an annual event! And yes, mommy enjoyed some quiet time to herself. :)

Road Warriors
To celebrate the last day of 2011, one of the dads coordinated a ride playdate for the kids. Lots of them got new bikes for Christmas and there was no place better for them to all ride freely than the Met parking lot!
Pierce had some fun "boys time" with his daddy, trying out his new bike, and sharing his gator with friends!
Taylor's mom took this one, I think it's funny that Taylor is driving with his eyes closed...good thing Pierce is wearing his helmet!

A Rare Visit
On our way back home from Luverne, we stopped for a visit with the Watts before we left town. Brooks,Ainsley and Pierce had lots of fun playing together and we enjoyed visiting with old friends!
Sweet faces...
Silly faces...

I can tell these three would have lots of fun together! Too bad we only see these sweet friends a few times a year!
