We have printed out sheets to color on all the planets, talked about all the different planets, painted them, and he has come home with lots of fun projects! He even had a homework project where we observed the moon every night for four nights. I hope his excitement to learn continues for a while!

Space
Pierce's class has been doing a unit on space for the last week or so. He has loved it! I have heard all about the planets and was surprised when he sang this:

Yucky Weather Fun!
The weather has been so yucky here this past month, it's always fun to play with your best friend when you are stuck inside! Carter and Pierce beg me weekly (if not daily) to play together after school. So, Carter came over on Friday! They absolutely love spending time together and play great (most of the time). I know I post about these two a lot, but they truly are the best of friends! It's sad knowing that this time is a little limited since they will be at different schools in August and won't see each other nearly as much!!
It's Off!!!
Our last bathtime (or at least I was hoping so!) before the cast came off!
We headed back to the ortho doctor last Tuesday to get this cast taken off and another x-ray. Mrs. Carol (one of his teachers at school) and his buddy, Carter, made sure to sign it before it came off!
Suprisingly, he was quite the trooper each time they took a cast off!
We were super excited to hear he didn't need the hard cast anymore and only has this soft one to wear for a few weeks! He can now take it off some at school to do his work since his hurt hand is also his writing hand. Mommy was most excited that it comes off during bathtime!!!

4K V-Day Party
Pierce has been on the countdown for his class Valentine's party. Yesterday was the big day! He packed up all his Valentine's for his friends and was ready to go!
One of the teachers sent me this picture from cookie time!

Here's also a class picture of their scary monsters they made on Valentine's Day. Pierce's said "I love my cousins!"
Happy Heart Day!
Pierce was worried that he wouldn't get any special treats for Valentine's and was excited when he went downstairs and saw his goodies!
After a fun day at school, we headed to the library! We are so lucky to have such an awesome library, Pierce gets so excited when we go. We got lots of new books, played some games together, and I discovered the Kids Nooks they have to check out! Then, we headed to Krispy Kreme for a special yummy snack!
Who knew all this would make you fall asleep on the way home?! And, I had to wake him up after about an hour and a half!!

My favorite gifts by far, are the ones that Pierce makes for me! He made lots of great crafts for Valentine's at school including the five things he loves about us (one for each of us). My favorite part is that he reads everything to us too!!
He gives us such a happy heart!!!
Valentines
This week has been all about the excitement of Valentines!
Pierce picked out some transformers valentines to exchange with his friends at school. Earlier this week he worked hard to get them ready!
He's gotten pretty good at writing with his right hand instead of his left. Surprisingly, I was able to get him to sign all of them and write his friend's names. I'm sure some parents thought, "wow, he needs to work on his handwriting!" Ha!
The countdown to his class party was on so he could give these out!

Weekend Kickoff!
Last Friday after I picked up Pierce from school, I surprised him with a trip to McWane!
It was just the two of us and it was the quietest there I've ever seen. A perfect way to kick off our weekend!
He put on a puppet show for me, then serenaded me with this stringless harp and made up a song!
Apparently, mommy wore him out! We've got to fit in all of our early afternoon playdates before school gets out and the madness of summer gets here!
