WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

The kids at Pierce's school were excited when pep rally day arrived to see if they met their goal for the Fund Run.  These superheroes were there to help celebrate (the administrators).  They exceeded their goal by raising over $30,000!!  I'm so happy we won't have to sell wrapping paper or anything else.  Go Champions!!!

Fishing Buddies

Pierce was very excited that Uncle Mike and Aunt Melissa have him a fishing rod for his birthday.  He's been wanting to go fishing since we moved and now he has the tools to do it!

He even cast it out by himself and caught a small bass!

It was all great, until he came back to the house soaking wet up to his thigh.  He told his daddy he knew a short cut back to our yard and stepped in the wrong place and sunk down in the water.  I bet it was cold too since it was about 50 degrees that day!

Halloween Bash

Since Pierce was very young, we've always gathered with friends at Halloween for annual fun.  This move has brought about changes to all of those traditions.  Luckily, our neighborhood sponsors a Halloween Bash so we didn't have to venture very far!

Pierce went with another super hero costume this year...Iron Patriot Ironman.  There aren't nearly as many choices for costumes in Auburn, which made for a much quicker decision!

We headed to the clubhouse after a few photos to eat, meet up with some friends, take a family photo, and they had a hay ride.  We were laughing because some little girl we had never seen was following Pierce around the whole time.  I'm not ready for that!

After trick or treating, we headed down the street to hang out at Tommy's house with his family and the Williams Family came too.

Super 7!!!

How did he go from this...

 

...to this, so quickly!!  I know people say it all the time, but I wish I could freeze time.  He is growing up way too fast! 

Pierce was so excited to wake up on his birthday morning and finally be 7!  He is so fun and such a joy to us.  God blessed us beyond words with this one. 

Walking out the door at 6:45 a m for school makes for a really quick and crazy birthday celebration.  And then there's the whole Halloween and dress up thing too!

His class had a fall party too, complete with lots of fun treats to eat.

The day before, I took donuts in to celebrate his birthday (again, another dress up day...hence the crazy attire!).  His teacher also put on a little dance party for them before they got back to work!

Red Ribbon Week...

...AKA, a good excuse to let kids dress up at school the week of Halloween. Thankfully, due to a field trip we only had to dress up 4/5 days.  Crazy hat day, 60's day, pj day, and team sports day!

Of course, this was also on his birthday...big 7!

To top off our super crazy week, we worked on his pumpkin that week too.  He opted to paint again instead of carve...apparently, sticking with a superhero theme.  Green lantern!

Pumpkin Patch

All of the first grade classes at Pierce's school took a field trip to Lazenby's Farm to the pumpkin patch. It was a WARM day at the pumpkin patch, but I was so glad I could go.  It was a gorgeous day outside filled with games, a hay and train ride, picnic lunch, petting zoo time, playtime, shucking corn, inflatable fun, and learning all about pumpkins and corn.  Whew...a FULL day!!

The pumpkin selection wasn't very big at the end of the season, but he found his favorite one!

Run, Pierce, Run!!!

The big school fundraiser for RES was in October. Each child had individual fundraising goals and the school exceeded their total goal of $30,000. I was happy to hear we won't have to sale wrapping paper!

Race day was finally here, his class was so excited!  I helped work during his class shift and even ran too.  I should have dressed more appropriately, but at least I had on running shoes!

I love his celebration as he stopped after each lap to get marked!
