We took Pierce to see the new Cars 2 movie yesterday and met his buddy, Henry. We ate lots of popcorn (my favorite part) and enjoyed the movie. Overall the boys seemed to enjoy it. They were both very excited!!
Giving a big "thumbs up" on our way out!
This week kicks off VBS at Pierce's school. He's been really excited about it, we came home with new music to listen to (which he already learned some of it today). Tomorrow is CRAZY hair day! I'm sure we will have more fun pictures from the week!

Jack's Pool Party
We helped Jack celebrate his 3rd birthday on Saturday with a pool party at his house. If felt good after this super hot weather! Pierce had lots of fun seeing some friends and swimming (one of his favorite things to do now!). Unfortunately, I never got a picture of Jack...oops!
Jack's cake was DELICIOUS...check out all of these blue faces. Carter definitely won the prize!
Swimming with buddies, Maury and Carter!

A Day for Daddy
We had a fun, low key Father's Day at home this year...we were too tired to go anywhere after our trip. As you can see, M and Pierce have LOTS of fun together and not just on this special day...but everyday. Pierce loves his daddy and gets so excited each day when he gets home, like he hasn't seen him in weeks!
Later in the afternoon, Pierce decided we needed to get out his old pool and he needed to take a swim to cool off!
Wishing this daddy lots of love, laughter and fun this special day and everyday! Your little buddy loves you lots!!!

10 Years.....10 Days to Celebrate (Part 2)
While in Carmel, we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It was great! Here are a few photos:
....and a fun drive through Pebble Beach!
Next stop, Hearst Castle on our way down Highway 1 to Santa Barbara. I hadn't really heard of it before our trip, but it was beautiful! Probably one of my favorites from our trip! The Hearst family built it on top of this mountain with a magnificent view, so many details to the castle, along with multiple detailed"guest houses", an indoor and outdoor pool, tennis court, and plenty of places to entertain guests!
Santa Barbara did not dissapoint either with it's beautiful views, great shopping, and yummy restaurants!
The view down Highway 1 was unbelievable! It was so much fun riding through this area, with the top down and stopping occasionally for pics. Of course, I was on the edge of my seat (literally) hoping we didn't drive off the edge of the clif!
Santa Monica was another fun destination. Here is a view of the popular pier, along with the historic, Georgian Hotel, that we stayed in.
Last stop (finally) was Las Vegas on our way back home. There is a lot to see and do in "Sin City"! When we arrived the temp was 106!! It was a fun 24 hours there, but I was excited to fly home and see my little prince!
A BIG thank you goes out to both of our parents for keeping/entertaining Pierce while we were gone. We would not have been able to do it without them. He did lots of swimming, spending time with family, eating, and playing outdoors. Honestly, he rarely seemed to miss us at all. I guess I'm glad in a way. I'm quite certain they were happy to sleep in past 5:30 when he was gone though!

10 Years...10 Days to Celebrate (Part 1)
On June 9th, we celebrated 10 years of marriage! To celebrate, we took a trip to California for 10 days with a stop for one night in Las Vegas (24 hours was plenty!). I think we took a crazy amount of pictures, somewhere around 600...but don't worry, I have just picked out a few!
First stop, San Francisco...lots of sight seeing, yummy food, TONS of walking, a Giants game, Muir Woods, Napa Valley, shopping at Pier 39, and Alcatraz.
I'm sure that no one else will find this picture funny, but we were dying! There was a park near China Town and apparently, a lot of the locals go there to exercise every morning. There were several groups of men and ladies dancing with the red fans and there was this other gentleman shall we say, "staying up on his karate!".
Our yummy anniversary dinner!
Pictures of these redwoods really do not do them justice for how extremely large they are. It was amazing! It helps to give you an idea in the one with me standing in front of one of them.
Napa Valley...absolutely breathtaking!
I didn't really think that I would enjoy alcatraz, but it was fun! We went on a night tour, you take a boat out from the docks to the island. We walked in many places that the prisoners did and I was amazed to learn that many families lived there as well and had small children on the island. I was surprised to see this beautiful garden that was part of it.
Inside our hotel, The Fairmont, at the top of Nob Hill. From our room we could see a lot of the city. And yes, San Fran is EXTREMELY hilly...I had no idea.

Giddy-Up
We went to a farm party this morning to help Rylee's celebrate her 2nd birthday. Complete with pony rides, dressing up, hot dogs and cupcakes! It was a super hot but fun day for the kiddos!
Pierce and his buddy, Carter, acting silly like normal. They were taking their hats off yelling, "YEE HAW!!".
Birthday girl, Rylee, with her mom on her pony ride.
I think these next series of pictures speak for themselves. These two love each other and crack me up!
Pierce and Carter definitely rode these ponies the most out of all the kids. I'm thinking they had at least 5 rides each. They would take turns swapping out ponies, all of the other kids had gone in for cake and they were still riding!
Today was also a reminder of how much Pierce would love spending time with Uncle Rexton right now. All the way home, he kept telling me he wanted ponies at his next party. I hope Uncle Rexton was watching him today and smiling, hard to believe it's been 5 years now. Giddy-up Cowboy!

Summer School
Kind of sounds like Pierce failed 2K, huh?! Well, he started his summer program this week at the same school we used last summer. We hit Krispy Kreme before his first official day...it was a yummy, special treat!
Pierce has been excited about going to his new class for quite a while. He ran right in, said hi to his new teachers, and never even told me bye. I think he will be fine, and will not miss me one bit while I am at work! On the way, he kept telling me that he needed to ask Ms. Molly some questions. As soon as we got there, he wanted to know when they were going on the playground!
