Now that it is officially fall, it definitely felt more like football season yesterday! We headed to Auburn again for a day of tailgating and football. Pierce had fun playing with cousin, Madelaine, and surprisingly made it through the game with no nap yesterday!
The kids always love riding on the golf cart!
The newest AU fan in the family, sweet little Sam! He is such an easy baby...he will be running around with the bigger kids before we know it.
Cheering and dancing...anything to keep them entertained! We can't wait for more Football Saturdays on the Plains!!

Letter Fridays
Pierce has loved letters since he was pretty small. This year at school, not only are they reviewing a letter each week and learning more about each one, but they are having a share day on Fridays. He loves thinking about what to put in his bag each week to share with friends!
We kicked off the first week sharing Aubie for letter "A"!

Wee Flip
This morning we headed to Wee Flip to try it out and meet the Patterson's to play. A fun time was had by all of the kids! We will definitely have to go back when it's cooler weather and can't be outside.
I think this roller coaster car was a highlight for lots of kids! We had to work on taking turns and sharing. :)
This train was also a favorite, we pretended they were sitting at the train station waiting for the train to come by!
Henrysaid, "you can't see us, we are hiding in the balls!". I love the mind of a child!
Grace loves to cheese it up for the camera! Bless her, she's so use to being stuck with the boys!!
Henry being Henry...he is a silly little boy!

Chores
Growing up, we had daily chores around my parents house. I remember at a young age, starting at 5, it was a rule to make your bed each day. It didn't have to be perfect, but you had to make it. Pierce usually helps me with our bed by pulling all the pillows off, then helping me pile them back on. Today, he got really excited, ran upstairs, and announced that he wanted to make his bed today!
He actually did a really good job! As I was making ours, he ran in the room and said, "I did it!" When he saw me smile at his work he said, "Are you so proud?" (I think because I often say, "I'm so proud of you".) And, "Am I a big helper?" Maybe we will move onto folding the laundry, dishes, and cleaning the house soon!

Wait on me!
Pierce loves hanging outside with his daddy. He got really excited when M got home the other night and told him he was grilling. Pierce literally sprinted around the house and said, "WAIT!!! I need my grilling stuff!"
Once outfitted, he helped push the vegetables on the edge of the grill. Unfortunately, he doesn't get to help as much as he'd like with the hot grill.
"Mommy, I'm a good cooker and griller!"

"I play with Daddy!"
Sunday was the last day Alabama Adventure was open for the summer, so all three of us headed there after church. We planned on going on Labor Day again this year, but the tropical storm hit and changed our plans. Pierce loved having his daddy there with us and told me, "I play with Daddy today!" and he wanted me to do my own thing. So, I happily sat in a chair most of the time!
If I had known I would be sitting in the chair so much, I would have brought the good camera. Oh well! The boys did it all...the lazy river, kiddie slides, and the wave pool.
They even tried out the bigger kid slides! Pierce climbed all the way up but wouldn't go down and decided it was much more fun with daddy in tow!
We hit the rides side of the park too, but shortly after it started raining and they closed early. At least we got a ride on the ferris wheel and were able to fit in a few hours of fun!

Kickoff
The kickoff to college football has started so on Saturday we headed to Auburn to cheer on the tigers. I'm not quite sure they were ready though. We barely pulled out a win...it may be a long season for the tigers!!
Regardless, it's always a fun day on the plains! We have a new tailgating spot this year and is perfect for all the kids. Pierce played with the big boys all afternoon (they were sweet to include him). He looked at cousin Andrew and said, "Andrew, tackle me!" Andrew gently grabbed him and pulled him down to the ground. Pierce jumped up and said, "Oh yea!!". Too sweet! (Apparently, the camera got moved to the wrong setting at some point so these are a little blurry.)
Our seasoned tailgate griller....
Pierce and cousin, Abby, had lots of fun together too! She didn't seem to mind that she was the only girl!
