Shhhh, It's Daddy's Birthday!

I don't think that M was super excited about turning 35 this year. Good for him, because since I was sick not much was planned for his birthday. Poor thing! Unfortunately, Pierce gets most of the birthday hoopla around here.  However, Pierce thinks its VERY exciting when anyone he knows has a birthday!
And, this was the only gift he got on his special day. Pierce was pretty excited to give it to him and informed him that he needed to take it to work and put it in his office.   Happy Birthday, Daddy!!!  Who knows, you may get a Batman party next year?!?!

Chuck E Cheese

Pierce has been begging for probably the last year to go to Chuck E Cheese. We had not been in probably 2 years (which he doesn't remember) because I despise the place, but we tried it out again with friends and were quite surprised. It was newly remodled and we lucked up with only a few other guests there besides us. Thanks to friends Maury, Carter, Grant and Grace for a special after birthday celebrating!

Poor Grace, she is TERRIFIED of any type of dressed up character.  I totally forgot about the mouse, he came out and Grace was done!!  I'm sure I scarred her for life!  However, Pierce and Carter were super excited for photo ops with the mouse!
This precious thing never made a peep...such a little doll!

Daddy even came to meet us for lunch and a little game time.  I'm sure he loved his special Chuck E Cheese birthday lunch on his special day!  :)
CEC was a HUGE hit for these three!!!  All thumbs up!!!

Trick or Treat Fun!

A big thank you goes out to The Patterson's for hosting a fun Halloween night! Since I was home sick, M braved trick or treat time for Pierce. I camped out in the basement, eating my dinner alone and resting while they were gone (since I was sick and avoided the trick or treaters at our house). One friend told me she was jeaous!! I must admit I was sad that I missed the Halloween fun!
Superman was getting into role before heading out to meet his friends...

The kids loaded up on dinner before heading out to trick or treat!  I heard from friends that it's getting a little tricker now that the kids are getting bigger and many want to run ahead and see how many houses they can hit up.  Next year we may not be able to keep up with them!  So fun to get to hang out with friends during such exciting times!
Group shot before heading out to collect candy!

I think it's funny that Pierce thought this was his birthday party! If I had known that, we could have skipped out on planning his actual party. Ha ha!!

Birthday (and Almost Birthday) Morning!!!

Last Monday (Halloween) was Pierce's 4th Birthday! So hard to believe!!! I was sick the entire week so there weren't as many exciting birthday surprises as planned. However, Pierce didn't seem to mind. He still thinks its super exciting to be 4 and get to dress up and go get candy on his birthday!
Thanks to Grandmomma and Granddaddy, he had a gift to open that morning. If it hadn't been for them, there probably wouldn't have been one!

I big thank you to my sweet friend, Brooke!!  She kindly made a birthday cake for my sweet boys and made us a meal since I was diagnosed with shingles that weekend.  What a life saver!!!  I definitely was in no shape to do it and almost slept through their big days.  Poor M rarely has much birthday excitement anymore since his is the day after Pierce's!  Look how excited he is here holding up, "35".  Ha!!!
Maybe next year I'll step it up a little to make up for this year!!

Trunk or Treat

Sunday night my boys hit the annual Trunk or Treat while I was home sick. I wondered what Pierce was in for while M was getting him suited up for Superman and he told me he needed some hair products! He worked on sculpting Superman's hair for the night, but apparently it didn't last past the first jump in the jumpy.
The kids had lots of fun jumping, playing games for candy, listening to music, collecting candy and eating!

Most of these pics are of Pierce and his best buddy, Carter (aka Batman!).  Apparently, they don't go anywhere without the other!!  Thanks to his momma for a few pics too.
What are these two doing?!?!?

Some of the crew from school, minus the Patterson kids.  They have all grown up together at school and church.  What a fun sweet group!

Excited Grace!  Love her bigtails too!!  She loves the boys in my family, I'm pretty sure she'd come live with us some if she could get away with it.  :)

Such sweet friends!!  Look how they are both making fists...guess they are watching out for the bad guys.

Special Treat

Last week we made a special birthday treat for Pierce's class since things are so crazy on his actual birthday, Halloween! Can you tell he was excited about the chocolate chip pumpkin cookies?

Ready to head to school and, share his cookies with his friends!  They even had a pumpkin hunt at school in the dark that day.  Let the birthday, Halloween craziness begin!!

Storytime!

We headed to the library yesterday and met friends for Storytime! It's been quite a while since we went (due to uncooperative behavior mainly), however, it was quite a hit this time! Pierce jumped up on the front row with kids he didn't know, listened to several stories, sang songs, and followed all directions. We even found a few books to bring home and a movie. He's already asking to go back next week!
