Family Day!

Last Friday, Pierce took a skip day at school since daddy did too! Actually, he's had to work a lot lately and took a comp day last Friday. So, we took advantage of it and went to one of Pierce's favorite spots in town...the McWane Center! He has not been in quite a while and asks frequently to go. He loved some of the new exhibits and made sure we did his some of his favorite old ones too!

After McWane, he picked a lunch spot for us then we headed home to pack his bags.  Gigi and Poppa have been wanting him to visit them at the farm by himself, so he was with them for three days!  He loves being there and didn't even want to talk to us on the phone.  Thanks Gigi and Poppa for letting him visit, he loved being with you and is counting down til we head back down!!!

Tag....You're It!

Pierce was EXTREMELY excited for the coutdown to his birthday party at Treetop Family Adventure! The day finally arrived and he was beside himself. Luckily, he has lots of school friends to help him celebrate! The kids had lots of fun playing in the treehouse, doing laser tag, eating, and playing in the arcade.
I was a little worried about the girls since he wanted to do laser tag but they did not seem to mind at all and actually really got into it.  The vests and guns were almost bigger than they were!  It was hilarious to watch them in action!

Pizza and cake time were a hit.  Here are the three in their "crew" at school, I hate they are all going to be at different schools next year.  They are going to miss each other terribly!
Pierce loved his star wars cake and the opportunity to blow out candles one more time!
I tried to take a serious group shot but of course, they preferred to be silly!  Love the blue icing on their tounges from the cake!
Pierce has been telling me for a while that Evangelina, the one on the left, is his girlfriend!!!

Happy 5th Birthday sweet boy!  We had a blast celebrating with you!!!

Trick or Treating (and a Birthday Treat too!)

After a day of birthday fun, we headed over to The Patterson's for an exciting evening of Halloween fun with friends! They were sweet to host and have so many friends over (I think there were close to 50). The kids got to eat, play, celebrate with a cookie cake, and even had a visit from our favorite babysitter! Miss. Rebecca brought glow sticks for all of the kids which were a hit, and really good idea, especially when we started trick or treating!

I think Pierce loved the attention on his special day!  I love the mesmerized faces on the kids looking at the cookie cake (as if they needed more sugar!).
Happy Birthday, Pierce (and daddy!)
Most of the trick or treating crew!  This year it was much harder to keep up with them but Mr. David did a good job of keeping them together.  They are much quicker now!!
Happy Birthday to my favorite little Jedi!!

5!!!!!

I'm not really sure how he went from this....

....to this, but time sure has FLOWN by!!  I can't believe our little angel is now FIVE!  I'm not sure that any child has ever been more excited than he was about his birthday.  While it makes me sad that he is getting older, I sure am proud to be his mama.  He is such a blessing each and every (well almost!) day!!!

While having your birthday on Halloween certainly makes for a crazy birthday, it's also pretty exciting too.  I mean, most kids do not get to dress up like superman all day at school?!?  The 3K and 4K classes got to go trick or treating at Regency (the assisted living facility near his school).  Pierce loves seeing the residence there, I'm sure they love all of their little visitors too!

I got to swing by Pierce's class for a few minutes after lunch and take some special brownie bats we made for a birthday treat with his friends!  They sang "happy birthday" to him and he even called a few friends out saying they didn't sing loud enough!  HA HA!!

Carving with The Smith's!

The Smith's do some crazy pumpkin carving at their house! In the past, they have had big competitions between their children, their friends, and anyone else that carved with them. Since Nicholas is the only Smith child still home, they were sweet to invite Pierce over to carve. Mr. Mark let Pierce pick any design he wanted and he chose an alien!
Nicholas' hard design took much longer and was much more difficult so we had to head home for bed.  Mrs. Julie promised Pierce a big competition next year, I'm sure he won't forget!!!

Trunk or Treat

Last week was Trunk or Treat at our church. Pierce was very excited about a chance to wear his new costume! He has recently fallen in love with all things Star Wars...so here is Obi Wan Kenobi!
These expressions crack me up!!!

Pierce and his best buddy, Carter, are quite the pair!  I spent most of our time chasing these two around.  I wish I knew what they were discussing...

Pierce had lots of fun playing games, getting candy, riding a merry go round, eating dinner, getting his face painted, seeing lots of friends in costume, playing in the jumpees, and one of his favorites was the cake walk!
Jack loves playing with Pierce and Carter at school!

I think Carter was the luckiest at the cake walk, he won enough that they have his mom a carrier to carry all of his cupcakes.  Pierce got super excited when they called his number and he won too!

On the hayride with some of the dads...I noticed that they let the kids eat a bunch of their candy from bags on the ride so they wouldn't get up.  Pretty smart on their part!!

Down on the Plains

Last Saturday we hit the road for a day trip to Auburn for the first time this season! We were a little sad about not getting season tickets since this was the first time in quite a while, but as the terrible season has gone on it ended up being a pretty good decision.  Nonetheless, we enjoyed a fun day of playing, tailgating, and being in one of our favorite places!
Even though Pierce's cousins were not there, he still loved hanging out with the big boys.  They played hide and seek, apparently the other boys got side tracked and forgot to look for Pierce until we heard him screaming, "COME FIND ME!!!".
Mr. John sprayed the kids hair and guess who thought they were super cool?!?!  Can you see the smile on his face as he is spraying his hair?

Apparently, this was a no girls allowed gameday!  All boys, all fun!!
