God Bless America!

On the day before Veteran's Day, Pierce's school had a special presentation for Veteran's. He was very proud to have his special Vet, Granddaddy, to attend! A reception was held before the presentation for Veteran's, so Granddaddy got to meet other Vet's from various branches of service.  The first graders sang several special songs during the presentation including You're a Grand Ole Flag, When Johnny Comes Marching Home, and God Bless America.  Each branch also stood up to get recognized for their service.

Thank you to Grandmomma and Granddaddy for coming!!  What a special morning!

Our neighbor, Grayson, is part of a military family.  His dad just arrived back from Afghanistan a few days before Veteran's Day.  He had been deployed the whole time we have lived here.  Pierce made a card for their family and delivered it on Veteran's Day to tell them thank you!!
